October has been a fun month. We had visitors and parties. Who could want more?
My brother, Matt, and his family came to visit us. We had such a fun weekend with them. We hung out, talked and laughed, watched the kids play, ate, played games, ate some more, etc. I love that I get along well enough with my family that we can enjoy just hanging around the house and being with each other.
Olivia loved her cousins. She and Nathan played well together. Example: Nathan was sitting in Olivia's little chair. She stood behind him and kept poking her head around the corner to him saying, "Boo!" (Well, her version of the word anyway). He would laugh, then she would laugh. There were a few times Nathan even pretended to get scared, which Liv thought was hilarious.
Liv was also intrigued by her baby cousin, Lucas. He would be sitting in the bumbo and she would walk up to him, cock her head to the side, and say, "Hi!" Then proceed to talk baby gibberish to him. She also loved to play with his toes. It was so cute.
On Saturday Matt, Heather, the boys, Olivia, and I ventured out to browse Ikea and to eat lunch there while Paul was at work. All 3 kids fell asleep in the car on the way there. (You can see Lucas in the mirror.)
After Paul got home, we all went to a pumpkin patch. I was highly disappointed because I called earlier in the day to find out what activities they had and the prices. I was told browsing the patch, a hayride, and face painting were all free. I then said, "And you close at 6:00, right?" and it was confirmed. We arrived at the patch around 5:05 to find out the face painting and hayride end at 5:00. Grrrr!!! Why didn't that lady on the phone tell me that?! Oh well. Nathan and Olivia had a ball running around playing with the pumpkins. Olivia also enjoyed playing with the leaves, sticks, and rocks.
Nathan and Olivia were unhappy about having to pose for a picture instead of being able to run

Cousin hugs!
My cute nephews!

Liv loved picking up the leaves, holding them above her head, and saying "Ohhh!" while letting them fall to the ground.

Thank you so much for posting this! I love the pictures and the way you described the weekend. All of the little ones are growing up and changing so fast, and I know your parents are going to be in heaven when they see them in person next month.
