Finally! An Aquarium Post!

After living in Atlanta for 3.5 years, I finally made a trip to the Georgia Aquarium at the end of January thanks to my sister-in-law, Carrie, and her husband, Rich. Rich had to come to Atlanta for work, so the entire family decided to join him on his trip where they stayed downtown in a hotel. While Paul was at work, Olivia and I met them Saturday morning at the aquarium for some good times. Just so you know, you don't need to feel bad for Paul that he missed the aquarium because he has no desire to go. He says once you've seen one aquarium, you've seen them all.

"Do you see these dolphins?!"

Checking out the gift shop with some of her cousins

I'm so glad I had these crayons in the diaper bag because it totally helped distract the kids while we waited for our lunch to arrive.

Touching the starfish

Emma and Olivia watching the fish swim all over the place

Olivia with her cousins: Braden, Brooke, Colton, and Emma. (I never got a picture of Seth. Sad!)

In awe of all the fish

Inside a tunnel getting a different view of the fish (My pregnant self couldn't crawl in there, but Rich and the kids did.)

She wanted to splash and play in the water so badly

Olivia kept reaching out trying to touch the fish through the glass.

Thanks to the iPad, Olivia knows how to work this touch screen that told her about the animals.

She had a BLAST crawling through this tunnel in the kids' play area. It twisted and turned all over the place.

I should've gotten a picture of the two of us at the beginning of the day instead of the end for obvious reasons.

Mean Mommy and Mean Doctor

About a month ago, I heard Olivia complaining for help about something. I finished washing dishes and went to see what was going on. This is what I found:
It was too funny not to snap a picture before I helped her out of her shopping cart. Aren't I such a mean mommy? Ha ha!

Because of insurance stuff, we didn't take Olivia to her 18-month appointment until she was 20 months. We had to switch pediatricians and are really happy with the new doctor thanks to a great recommendation from some friends. Although Paul and I liked him, Olivia had a little bit different of an opinion. She played happily in the waiting room, but as soon as we tried to weigh and measure her, she screamed her head off and continued to do so while the doctor checked her out. Fortunately she calmed down quickly when it was all over, but she was not a happy camper. I'm glad Paul was able to go to that appointment with us because I wouldn't have been able to hold her down with my pregnant belly being in the way.

According to the doctor, she's a "string bean." Tall and skinny as usual. She received a clean bill of health :)

-Height: 34" (90%)
-Weight: 25.3 lbs. (Didn't write down the percentile, but it was average)
-Also didn't write down her head circumference, but I remember the doctor saying she didn't have a big head, which is how her head has been from the beginning - small.

And just a few pictures...

Olivia loves to put her taggie on her head, then put her cowgirl hat on top.
She loves to cheese for the camera
And she loves to make faces at the camera
