Good News #1: Paul is done with his internship tomorrow! Congrats to Paul!
Good News #2: Paul has a new job lined up to start on July 5! The place where he currently does his internship offered him a full-time job! We are very excited. Unfortunately, this means we won't be moving back to South Carolina as we hoped because we'll be here for at least another year. Fortunately, we get to see our Atlanta friends for longer than we thought. I guess there are pros and cons to everything in life.
Olivia will be 13 months tomorrow and has been doing lots of new things in the past couple of months or so and thought we'd share. She's been doing some of the things for a while, but I just wanted to include everything.-She can wave and knows to wave when you say "bye bye" without watching you wave first.
-She can clap and now understands the word clap, so she'll clap when you ask her to without you clapping first. She'll also start clapping when she hears "Yay!"
-She can dance and also understands the word and will dance when you say it.
-She knows where her bellybutton is and will point to it when asked, "Olivia, where's your bellybutton?" That's the only body part she knows, but we're working on others.
-She shakes her head when you ask her to.
-She blows (although she hasn't gotten the hang of shaping her mouth into an "o" for this and blows air out through her teeth resting on her lips)
-She understands "Come here,"Show it to me," "Let me see," "Eat," and other things I can't think of at the moment.
-She knows what a baby is. Our friend, MaryEllen came over with her little baby, Cooper, the other day and Ellen asked Olivia where the baby was and she immediately pointed to Cooper.
-She can say a few things:
* "Mama"
*"Dada"
*"Daddy"
* "Hi"
* "Hello"
* "Bye" (she's only said this once a few weeks ago and hasn't said it since)
* "Uh oh" (and just like any child will say it BEFORE she drops something)
* "Que" meaning "Thank you" (she said it for about 2 weeks, then stopped)
* "Hee yo" meaning "Here you go" (she says this when handing you something)
* "Sat?" meaning "What's that?" (she points as she says this)
Things Olivia currently loves:
-Baths (she gets upset when you take her out and will play in there for as long as you'll let her)
-Bellybuttons (Not just hers: She has lifted her cousin's shirt up to find hers, she is constantly playing with her own, and she tries to lift Paul's and my shirts up to find our bellybuttons.)
-Shoes (she comes to me all the time holding her shoes up wanting me to put them on)
-Books
-The Dryer (as witnessed in a previous blog)
-Sesame Street
