A little delayed...

Sorry, this post is a little late. Jayne and Otis (Paul's mom and stepdad) came to visit us the weekend of June 12th. They arrived at our apartment around 10pm that night. We chatted for a little bit before we went to bed. Saturday was our busy, fun day. We got up that morning and went to breakfast at The Original Pancake House, which is absolutely the best place to go for breakfast! Thanks to my cousin, Amber's, finance, we discovered this place a while back. This was the thrid time Paul and I ate there and we again were not disappointed. After breakfast, we came home and relaxed for a while before going to Marshall's for a short shopping adventure. Paul had never been to a Marshall's before and he fell in love with it. He was a little too excited if you ask me. For those who don't know Paul is the "girl" in our family when it comes to shopping. I'm always done looking at the girl clothes before he's done looking at the guy clothes. Alas, we did come away with a few good bargains like a nice khaki pin-striped suit for Paul for only $50! You can't beat that! We then stopped at a new frozen yogurt place called Yogli Mogli....it was yummy and I'd probably go back again. Then on we went to Roswell to show some of the old historic sites to Jayne and Otis (you may remember that we discovered the neat sites of Roswell with my parents when they visited back in March). It was still a new experience for us, though because there was a lot more greenery...everything hadn't come back to life yet when we went in March. Here are some pictures at Vickery Creek and Dam:

After our nature adventure, we ate at a place called Ted's Montana Grill that we heard about through our friend, Mike. It was an okay restaurant in my opinion. There wasn't anything spectacular about it, but it was decent and it filled my tummy. Paul actually tried a bison burger; he said there wasn't much of a difference in the taste to him, though.

On our full stomachs, we made the trek back home and got ready for the main event of the weekend: Jersey Boys. Jersey Boys is a musical playing at the Fox Theater about Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. I really enjoyed the music and learning the story of the band...and of course that theater was beautiful. However, the "authentic profane Jersey language" (that's the way the Fox Theater puts it) put a huge damper on things. They definitely could have cut out quite a bit of the language and we still would've gotten the point that they came from the "hood" of New Jersey. Anyway...other than that, I really enjoyed it. It was a fun experience and I would love to go back again for another play/musical. Thanks to Jayne for taking us!

On Sunday, Jayne and Otis came to Sacrament meeting with us, then we said our "see ya laters" so that they could make their 4-hour journey home. It was a fun weekend. I love visitors, especially family visitors. So if you ever want to make a trip to Atlanta or just want to see us, you are more than welcome to come and stay with us!!!!!
