Paper Anniversary

On Sunday, March 15, 2009, Paul and I were married for a year. We made it through our first year! Whoo hoo! Since our anniversary was on Sunday, we went out and celebrated the night before. We ate at Olive Garden....neither of us had eaten there in really long time and it was so good that night!!! I can't remember what the appetizer was called, but it was little fried lasagna bites and they were sooooo yummy. We had some time to kill after we ate, so we walked next door to Borders and decided to each buy a book. Then we headed downtown to the Shakespeare Tavern, which was my anniversary gift from Paul (the tickets were paper for our paper anniversary). This is a place where you can eat and enjoy a show. Of course, we didn't eat since we already ate, but we did get dessert at intermission. That night they were performing Geoffery Chaucer's Cantebury Tales. It was such a great show! The performance was hilarious and very entertaining. Paul went thinking it would be okay and that it was more for me, but at intermission he turned to me with wide eyes and a little boy grin and said, "I love this!" It was a lot of fun and we would love to go back again someday...next time we'll check out the how the food is. The night of our actually anniversary, we at chocolate chip banana bread that I made especially for Paul and looked at our wedding pictures and talked about some of our favorite things that happened on our wedding day. I can definitely say that our weekend celebration was a success. I have absolutely loved this first year with Paul and I can't wait to see what the future years hold for us!

Ah, this is so romantic! There's nothing that makes a mother happier than knowing that her children are happy, and I loved reading about your first anniversary and the special things you did. The pictures were so good too, especially the one of the two of you right before you went out.
