The Santa Experience

We decided to take Olivia to Bass Pro this year to get her picture taken with Santa. To make a long story short, we weren't able to get a picture with Santa the first time we went, but we did get a few cute pictures.
Paul & Olivia playing a golf game together
Olivia loved playing with the fake snow
She makes great "cheese" faces for the camera
Since that time didn't work out, we tried again a few days later. We thought Olivia would do fine with Santa because she has zero stranger anxiety...seriously...she reaches out to complete strangers and the grocery store/doctors' office/etc. and waves and says hi to every person we pass. While she may have zero stranger anxiety, she has lots of Santa anxiety. I'll let the following sad picture tell the story of how she felt:
It breaks my heart to see her so upset. After I picked her up she clung tightly to my neck for fear we would take her back to that scary man's lap. She may not have enjoyed Santa's lap, but she definitley enjoyed the candy cane he gave her.
Side Note: Santa doesn't look thrilled in the picture either. We were there at the beginning of Santa's day, so Paul said Santa was thinking, "This is going to be a long day!" as our child screamed on his lap. Ha ha!
